What are GDHP activity support projects?

* GDHP(Global Digital Health Partnership)

GDHP(Global Digital Health Partnership) is an international consultative group proposed by ADHA(Australian Digital Health Agency), a digital health professional agency under the Australian Ministry of Health and formed in Feb. 2018, aiming to share digital healthcare policy experience and exploring cooperation plans

Participating countries

  • Initially there were 14 member countries+WHO but the number increased to 30 countries +WHO (as of Jan. 2021).
  • Ministries of health and welfare of each country and digital healthcare agencies are participating in the partnership.

Interoperability
  • Present problems to be solved in relation to interoperability among the different types of information systems and create a blue print for informatization (standards, policy, regulations, etc.)
  • Present the framework to be used for measuring interoperability among different kinds of systems and propose long-term innovation
Cyber security
  • Share operating experiences on cyber security and cooperate to generate and provide medical information safely. (standardization of international security)
  • Adopt a warning system for security incidents related to medical information
Policy environment
  • Government’s role in supporting innovation and the development of digital health as one of the methods to resolve problems in the medical system, present policies to solve problems in the process of the generation, utilization and sharing of health information data
  • Establish the interface for policies, governance and institutions for digital health initiatives
Evidence and evaluation
  • Establish evaluation objectives by achieving outcomes systematically and objectively for projects which were completed, that are underway or are the results of policies, design, processes and results.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks for multi-faceted evaluations (social, clinical, technical, etc), permit and agree on the secondary use of data.
Clinical & Consumer Engagement
  • Present strategy to boost participation as the interactive participation of patients and medical practitioners is important regarding the utilization of medical information.
  • Present practical and gradual approaches to develop and induce participation in legal framework where medical practitioners understand their roles, rights and responsibilities in a new digital service model.

Domestic implementation group

Korea has participated since 2018, led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, but the domestic implementation group composed of experts was organized and run considering diversity and the expertise of areas of cooperation.
