Greetings from the President of the KHIS
Hello, everyone!
I am Yeom Minseob, president of the Korea Health Information Service.
The Korea Health Information Service (KHIS) is a public institution under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, established to promote public health through sustainable healthcare informatization.
To promote digital healthcare that will shape the future of the industry, KHIS is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life cycle healthcare data. We are engaged in various projects to expand the connection and utilization of this data. To ensure high-quality healthcare information, we focus on initiatives such as standardizing medical data, certifying Electronic Medical Record(EMR) systems, and advancing national hospital informatization. We are also committed to the safe and accurate sharing and linking of generated information through projects like medical information exchange and the operation of a personal medical record access system.
Additionally, we aim to increase the use of healthcare data through initiatives such as the medical data-centric hospital support project, the healthcare big data platform, and the national integrated bio big data bank.
By fostering a digital healthcare ecosystem, we play a vital role in generating new knowledge and value, while ensuring patient safety, continuity of care, and improved quality of healthcare. Our ultimate goal is to enhance public health for everyone.
We appreciate your continued interest and support, and we wish you all health and happiness.

President of the Korea Health Information Service,
